The School of Nursing, one of the second-grade schools, was established in 2008. Based on the former Department of Nursing, the school was one of the first institutions to restore higher nursing education in China in 1965. Currently, it is recognized as one of the premiere nursing schools in the country, with the mission to establish excellence in nursing education and research.
The school scrupulously abides by the instructions of stressing knowledge and morals, inheriting tradition and encouraging creativity. It pays more heed to education quality and staff building. It also guarantees the school administration and sticks to the student-oriented teaching principle.
A competent teaching staff has been formed which comprises: 4 professors and 5 associate professors. Among them, 5 teachers have overseas working experience and can teach specialized courses in bilingual way.
In the past five years, the school teachers were the chief editors of 14, associate editors of 15 course books and monographs; 36 jointly-compiled books were published.
